Gregor57 have a sexy new website at

www.smilingmadeeasy.com/gregor57

Have a peep and if youse spot any problems I'd appreciate a slap around the head....

Or

if you find yourself cringing and giggling at the content...
( and this is very likely )
again I'd welcome some barbed remarks.

thank you

it looks cool Rothko

some of the pages are hard to read though, especially the blue page

yes one must highlight the text to read it. good otherwise, need tunes though

yeah the site is a bit bare on content
and it certainly needs some music asap

i guess the reason it's "hard to read" is down to the fact that I spend most of my time designing sites for soul sucking corporate clients who always manage to squeeze every last drop of creativity
and innovation out of every thing you produce for them....so doing a site like this kinda allows me to be a bit self indulgent.

Fair comment though
It is hard to read in places but I really wanted to keep a strong colour identity
across the site.....

all design arse really!

oh hi Gavin, I thought you were Rothko

I'm Mike. Rumpus is Derek's superhero identity. He goes into a phone box and whoosh, he comes out wearing glasses, a baseball cap, and a wool tie; much the same as he went in actually.

oooer.....
I'd agree about the colours of the navigation. maybe just make them more contrasted to the background.

after much reflection and deep deep consideration I've let go of my desire
to have an unreadable eye scrunching
website.

dudley wins

the text is now white

( and it's actually not that bad...)

thanks for the comments

so that's what the voices tell you: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

all i hear is: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

if we get a few more tinnitus people together I'm sure we can make up the rest of the vowels. anyone?

how did you guys get on in chicargo?

It was great. The sound was always good, the soundmen were conscientious, all of them, as if it was just the normal way to be. The venue owners were welcoming (one brought us out to dinner!), paid us, and gave us free beer. The other bands we played with were surprisingly warm and welcoming. And we got two days of free recording with a guy who didn't know us but just liked our stuff. On top of all that, our friend Tom showed us the town. It was cool, we're still buzzed about it. Maybe we just had a really lucky time of it, but Chicarrgo seems like the ideal place for independent music.

that's great.
i'm glad it all went well for you guys.

i worked in new york doing live sound for about 6 months in '99 - really enjoyed it.
came back to dublin, couldn't get a sound related job.
some of the sound engineers in this town - i tell ya!
takin' the piss, wha?

Shnakeyman speaks the truth, it was a great 10 days. It's so good to see a nice, big scene were "pay to play" is laughed at, everyone is in a band and helping each other out... and there's sooo much opportunity to be heard as an independent band. The streets are paved...

anyhooo...the diary on our site has more...

let's know when uze are playing...

(yer pick is the greatest american hero, right?)
