SHABBA!
and the Off The Wall/Off The Sholder t-shirt (phew)

Lowlights:
Omelette's equipment failiour (bleedin amatures)

Thanks Thomas!

Been to all the Hoot nights so far and that was up there with the first one (Dublin-Chicago). Best songs: Murder She Wrote & I'll be your Mirror. Definitely some creative accounting going on with the years - one band did both Subterranean Homesick Blues and Fight for your Right to Party!

ok ok, I'll Be Your Mirror was a single in '66 but appeared on the Velvet Underground & Nico which was released in '67... Hence, justified...

*Shabba!*

it was a sorta quieter atmosphere though eh?

there was only three drummers all night!

anyway, micheal knight's first song was deadly... what was it?
keith moss must had his guatamalean insanity peppers before he went on!!
the drag queen, well.... dragged,
aurel and delorentos rocked (.|..| )

it was a good night except for the feckin' covers band on afterwards.

First Hoot I missed since the First Hoot
:(
Didn't get home from recording until 11, too late for Hoot, Saturday went well, finished in time for Boxes, then a difficult Sunday that ended late ... went to bed early last night and I'm still so tired I could cry. More recording tonight. Who's idea was this fecking album?

Knight's first song was the Theme from Murder She Wrote. I hate to make comments about any particular performer or performance as I think its really tacky coming from me. However, and despite the mellow-er overall vibe of the evening, there were some truly inspired moments which gave me hope for the future of Hoot here in Dublin. Knight's MSW instrumental, HGF's Fight For Your Right To Party, Mike Settler's Purple Haze, Derek Settler's King of Birds, Delorentos' I Think We're Alone Now, Juno making her triumphant and most welcome return to Hoot from Berlin with the AMAZING Aurel. Omelette's moving version of I'll Be Your Mirror was pure lovliness and I have to admit (and I don't know how you experienced it) but Light My Fire was a fucking ball! I had so much fun with that one. Thanks to everyone for playing and for watching! Oh, and the Hoot Night ENDS AT 11pm. :) See you in November for The Planes, Trains & Automobiles Hoot Night!
