Hi Folks,

I am thinking of getting free to air this August with Saorview included, does anyone here know of a good reputable dealer that offers a good price?

There are so many online, that I don't know which is which so any help would be appreciated.

Are you on Sky? Supposedly the box can be used after your contract ends if you remove the card. Dunno if this hack has been fixed though.

We had two Sky subs in our house at one point as we watched different stuff. I cancelled my contract a couple of years ago and still get the FTA channels through the box. It has reverted to UK settings which means 101 = BBC One.

I watch the Irish channels through rabbit ears so will invest in a Saorview box and aerial shortly.

These were recommended to me by TV Trade - www.tvtrade.ie.

I don't have Sky and cancelled UCI but still have the basic analog channels which will cease transmitting in October.

Want to get this, my friend has it and I thought the reception was brilliant plus no hassle of bills etc.

Thanks for this, seems like a bargain, I take it that I would have to buy three different components ie. set top box, transmitter and aerial? Still works out cheaper if thats the case.

I think you can get a combo receiver which covers FTA and Irish channels.

The FAQs on the site are good - http://www.tvtrade.ie/saorview-faqs.html

I sent them an email explaining my set-up and they responded fairly quickly.
