Re: Foggy Notions presents GIVEAMANAKICK album launch party Friday May 2(FREE ADMISSI

how does 'free' work? Like, just turn up and walk straight in, or are there tickets that you send away for or something? Like with that Murphys live thing

I like free though, but I'd still have happily paid into this

GIVEAMANAKICK

Welcome to the Cusp album launch party

THE HOLY ROMAN ARMY - www.myspace.com/theholyromanarm
DJs Jay & Frankie (Antics)

We present this completely free gig as a sort of double celebration; primarily for the release of the third album from Ireland’s awesome rock duo GIVEAMANAKICK. Welcome to the Cusp is released on May 2nd on Monkey Heart Recordings and distributed through RMG. It features 11 knock-out rock tunes, from the breakneck punk of “Giveamanakick Are Dead Meat” to the creeping folk-doom of “Brittle Bones” to the impudent art-rock of “Directions of How to Play”.

Tonight’s free party also celebrates the opening of Ireland’s most exciting new venue -having been tuned up last week with concerts from Crystal Castles, M83, The Chromatics and Why?, Andrew’s Lane Theatre is ready to host its first homegrown all Irish line-up featuring rising electronica stars Dry County and awesome electro hip-hop new kids The Holy Roman Army, not mention Antics regulars Jay & Frankie soundtracking us into the early hours. Come early, bring a present, or a cake, and be ready to party.

Giveamanakick are Steveamanakick and Giveamanakeith. Having spent the past 3 years playing with various rock luminaries and music press darlings and indie-rock legends such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lightning Bolt, Dinosaur Jr, and The Deftones, as well as peddling two critically acclaimed albums Is It Ok To Be Loud, Jesus? and We Are The Way Forward to anybody who’d listen, Giveamanakick took time out to nail their third and most vividly violent work to date – Welcome To The Cusp. An extensive UK tour with The Undertones and sporadic nights of theatrical rock chaos all over Ireland tuned them for the most important period of their existence to date.

it's Steveamanakick playing a selection of his favourite Scarlett tunes from through the years

Is that Scarlett doing DJ? Or just some DJ playing nothing but Scarlett tunes? Either way, deadly .|..|
