The theme from The Jetsons is brilliant. Especially that big blast of trumpets toward the end.

Dunno if it ever got shown over here, but there was a kids' educational quiz show in the US called Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? The theme was this insidiously catchy song by the vocal group Rockapella.

The Rockford Files also had a great theme song. In fact, a couple of other Mike Post TV theme compositions weren't bad: Hill Street Blues and Magnum, P.I. come to mind.

I couldn't tell the difference between the star wars theme and the superman theme when i was a kid and for some reason i can't even think of either of them now.
