Sumer is icumen in is quite the song.Great history behind it,definitely doesn't qualify for the purposes of this thread though (more's the pity.)

EDIT: One could argue that the Shutter Island soundtrack that was used to underscore the film dosent count as it wasn't written specifically for the film. (Dunno why I bring this up)

Apparently this is why Johnny Greenwood didn't get an Oscar nod for There Will Be Blood, Parts of the "score" had featured in Bodysong and parts were lifted from this.

Most of Zbigniew Preisner's scores are outstanding and although he's probably best known for his work with Krzysztof Kieślowski, this particular score towers above everything else he's done...
