I found out recently that my Ma doesn't tolerate my Da farting in bed - he has to go out of the room. She was appalled that her daughters-in-law don't have similar policies. I think my poor oul Da was jealous

It's just common courtesy to leave the room, no?

I go to the men's room in the pub if I have to fart.
You get looks in the jacks when you walk in and let one rip, but it's better than doing it among friends.

The great downside of smoking bans is having to smell dude's farts in bars.

It's not exactly practical though, is it? If I had to hop out of the bed every time I was going to fart I'd never get to sleep at all
