Future Shorts Ireland and Kaleidoscope Productions have teamed with the GMIT Short Film Society to present "Faoiseamh", an all-encompassing night of entertainment.
"Faoiseamh" – which translates as 'release' – is a night unlike any other. Prepare to be spoiled as we bring you hilarious international short films, experimental Irish film, a live soundtrack performance and an art installation screening.
To enhance the overall coolness of this event it is being hosted in Aras na nGael, one of the few Irish speaking pubs in Galway.
The night will be mc'd in both Irish and English which makes this a night that's accessible for all.
Just in case you're not convinced, here's a quick rundown of the order of the night –
- a cracking line up of international shorts including the hilarious "Forklift Driver Klaus" (2003) and "Le Cheval 2.1" (2003).
- an equally smashing array of Irish shorts including work from GMIT wunderkinds.
- a live soundtrack performance.
- a special screening of a GMIT graduates highly acclaimed art installation.
- Photography display.
- Live DJs afterwards.
- Special surprises on the night.
Here's the final hook - admission is only 3 euro; an absolute steal for the amount of quality entertainment being provided.
