I think he just began to sound samey after a while. Figure 8 was good but he was heading towards MOR territory, I kind of think... still, better than most though. That Red Box gig was pretty great.

ive never felt as claustrophobic as i did at that gig. it was deadly though.

that red box gig was awesome. crowded as fuck, but absolutely amazing. i loved how that band he had played rocked up versions of the material from the second album, and how well he could sing. he played fond farewell at the end of the acoustic set too, when it hadn't come out.

it'll be nice to hear all the this stuff done up by larry crane, but if you're as obsessive as me, its already been on leaked bootlegs for a while. that guy just didn't write shit songs....
