At the Electric Picnic festival, Grace Jones demanded a blacked out splitter van to drive her the ten yards from her dressing room to her private toilet.
A black splitter van is faaar too déclassé to be seen in public in though, so for anything front of house she made do with a silver DOUBLE STRETCHED Cadillac 300c......

Grace Jones took Electric Picnic by storm this
year in more ways than one. On arrival at the
Heritage Hotel in Laois, she demanded, with no
prior warning, that the hotel's entire spa area
be cleared of other guests so she could use it
on her own. She had already put her own stamp on
proceedings by insisting that her €65k fee be paid
in cash before she took the stage. Jones's humour
improved somewhat after the gig, when she was
spotted alongside PR man Buzz O'Neill whizzing
around in one of the motorised buggies used by
festival staff...Elsewhere, here is a festival steward
hard at work in the middle of the day last Sunday...
