DV Camera? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of buying a digital video camera but I don't know anything about them and have never used one. I have made a few silly movies for my own amusement from Photobooth and my cameraphone in iMovie, but that's the extent of it. I'd basically fall into the category of 'hobbyist who wants to record the world around them'.

Anyone got any tips or recommendations of models? Do you use your DV cam much?

yo! yeah DV is what you need. just make sure it has firewire in/out on it and youre away! the cheap canon ones are grand..you shouldnt have to spend more than 300/400 quid..
