Oooooh, just like a Kinder Egg.

Opening, closing, surprise and The Unbelievebale Truth. It's all I could afford right now. Any chance to see Hal Hartley in a cinema and I need to go! Hoping a few of them still have tickets come pay day. Some great blurbs there... I want to see too many of them!

Is the Unbelievable Truth related to the band?

Seanc's favourite if I remember correctly.

edit: oh right, they're named after it. Maybe they'll make a guess reformation appearance

awful, awful band.

good film though?

Wouldn't be everyone's cuppa, but I love Hal Hartley. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Very dry, talky/witty and over the top pretentiousness (on purpose) to the point where I can't stop laughing. Most people I've tried to make watch one with me get antsy and say they're the worst films they've ever seen. I'm taking off work to go see it.

I'd be into seeing La Danse, I Am Love, Mother, Lourdes and maybe Shutter Island. I've seen most of the other ones (Whip It, Bad Lieutenant, Whatever Works etc). There's not many big name films there this year, most of the films by "big name" directors have been floating around other film fests for a good 6-8 months and have mostly appeared on DVD already and the rest are all the kind of films that clog up film festivals then never get seen again.

Nobody go see Whatever Works unless Woody Allen is there, then go to heckle him for making such a shit film.

I see, my team will be taking it into consideration
