Drainland/Battle of Wolf 359 -split 7inch (1 Viewer)

Thats the one release i may not be co-releasing actually - half to cut back on releases as distro isn't selling and the whole lot is taking up too much personal time. Will know soon.

The split 7" with Battle of Wolf 359 appears unfortunately to have been postponed for the immediate future due to forces beyond everyone's control. We're extremely sorry this has happened as we were really looking forward to both the record and using it as an excuse to bully the BOW folks into coming over here, but alas it appears they're taking an extended break due to members travelling for the year. Fingers crossed at some point down the line we'll be able to do some stuff together, but for now check out BOW's two excellent current releases, split 7"s with Kaddish and Singaia. They will clean out your ears like a q-tip from hell. Massive thanks to Eamonn of Rimbaud and Cara of Incomparable Ninja as well as the BOW359 folks for all their support in trying to get this together as well, pity it went arseways at the last minute.

On a more positive note, the split album with Cradle Is Casket is nearly ready - the master for the cd version is winging it's way to the US at the moment and will be out shortly, with the vinyl to follow later in the year. We'll post when these are out.

Following that, there will be a Drainland 7" in Autumn. This 7" will mark the end of a tumultuous (ie: "shit") year for us and collects three remaining unreleased tracks recorded over the last 12 months: two songs - "Luxophage" and "Rebuilding Salem" (originally planned to appear on the Battle of Wolf 359 split), alongside "Trainee Mourner" (a reworking of the demo track "Jesus Scares the Shit out of Me" recorded during the sessions for the Cradle is Casket split). This record, and the majority of subsequent records, will be self released.

No more song recycling after this, thankfully - the backlog, as it were, has been cleared. On Colin's return from the USA in August we will be spending the rest of the year writing new material for some forthcoming splits and a full length of our own - We've done some market research with "the kids" and decided to pursue a new sound that merges the soaring anthemic D-Beat of Tragedy, the kind of breakdowns that will make Bane weep into their pillows and the angular indie pop of Foals and Crystal Castles .Kind of an electro crustiemo afromosh type thing, if you will. To this end we'll be auditioning for a brass section later this year to expand our musical horizons. Channel 6 and Totally Dublin are gonna be all over us like a rash. Just you wait.
