Dr. Polly Fibre [aka Christine Ellison] is an Irish artist based in London.
With a background in graphic design and fashion, her work traverses a range of
contexts from printed publications to installations and performances as Polly
Fibre. Since 2005 she has performed in New York and Cleveland, as well as
regularly in London and Ireland. She is currently working towards her first
solo show will open in May at The Toilet Gallery in Kingston, London.
Polly’s performances are a series of indiscreet compositions that explore
aspects of her contemporary culture through a post-digital aesthetic. The work
reverts analogies that have become absorbed by digital technology
-renegotiating terms such as CUT & PASTE through materials, objects and
machinery. Processes of construction are unravelled to reveal their core
elements. These become the raw material to build new compositions in a
performative context where there is an emphasis on the deconstructive and
reconstructive processes.
At ClubHeadBangBang she will perform two pieces:
Cut & paste –composition for scissors & tape.
Glitch stitch –improv. with sewing machine(s) and various materials

Seán Healy a Tralee based artist, will be exhibiting some Steel works. He
investigates chemical reactions to a degree of insanity yet proves to stay calm
enough for us to hope at some meaning. What he offers us is in someway in these
finished pieces is his honesty. His work in this context is not to be missed.
He is also be exhibiting as part of the exhibition 'In Pursuit' in Siamsa Tire
which will run from the 7th of April until the 5th of may.
+-----------------------------------------------------------+
Mairin Mahon is a degree graduate of Cluain Mhuire College of Art and Design,
Galway. Mairin is a practising based in West Cork. Her work explores autonomous
figures through oil paint, on canvas, in an expressive and layered manner. Her
work is often referred to as emotional painting and she frequently relies on
photography, either taken or discovered.
