CANDY & Sony PSP present 'PSP and Me'. Call for entries.
CANDY has been approached by Sony PlaystationPortable (PSP) to conceive and curate an exhibition of original work that will showcase the functionality and power of their handheld while also opening up opportunities for us to promote Irish creative excellence in an exciting format here in Ireland and also internationally.
Launching at the end of November in FilmBase, and then downloadable from the Sony site, our project content will span the creative arts from fashion, design, jewellery, photography, illustration, art, music and more.

COMPETITION CALL FOR ENTRIES.
Part of the project is a public competition also based on the theme 'PSP and Me'. With a prize fund of 1000e we are inviting original creative work in any medium to be submitted which consider the relationships we have with the handheld. Allowing that the PSP can be used for images, motion, music and gaming that's a lot to work with, you can basically do anything. (IMPORTANT: You do not have to feature the machine in your piece, you just have to consider the brief!)
The winner(s) will be notified prior to the launch night and displayed on the dedicated site and also featured on the launch night and in associated promotional materials. The closing date for all entries is Friday November 17th 2006 at 6pm. All entries should be sent digitally to [email protected]
Unfortunately no mails will be sent back other than to say your entry has been received. All entries remain the copyright of the creative but CANDY & Sony reserve the right to use them for pr purposes.

Image Now & CANDY in association with Blanka
present the Dublin leg of '1. An Exhibition in Mono'.
Specially commissioned by Blanka, '1' features some the world's most influential designers including Build, Experimental Jetset, MadeThought, Saville Associates, Wim Crouwel and Trevor Jackson amongst many others.
Each designer was set the same simple brief, to create a poster in black
and white representing a graphic term. The final collection of posters
are strikingly beautiful and illustrate a hugely diverse range of skills and styles. The exhibition is currently touring, stopping off at Barcelona,
New York, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin, Sydney, Dublin and Leeds and we have
