A year on from the release The Dudley Corporation’s fourth album Everyone Does Everything Wrong the band are playing a one-off headliner in The Workman’s Club, Dublin on Saturday, May 31st 2014.
Though work and family commitments have curtailed any heavy gigging behind the release of their last batch of songs, the boys have been writing like the clappers and have more than enough material for a new album. The plan is to get recording in the coming months.
Firstly, these tunes need airing. Combining the grittier style of more recent Corpo compositions with the angular and pink-ass twee shite of their earlier stuff, this new material sees Mark and Dudley swap instruments for a few numbers, and Joss work blast beats and Kate Bush style rumbles into songs at really inappropriate times. It’s all gold, though.
As an added incentive to get your ticket early, anyone who purchases a ticket from www.tickets.ie or direct from The Workman's Club website will receive a free download code for the Corpo's 2013 opus Everyone Does Everything Wrong. Can’t say fairer than that!
