We are beyond thrilled to announce that Jim Carroll (The Irish Times, OTR) will be conducting a very special interview with DJ SHADOW in our second room on Friday 1st of October at 5PM before he takes the stage at Tripod that evening for his amazing live show.
The interview will range from ‘cut & paste’ music style, his collaborations with photographers, designers and film makers like Ben Drury, Will Bankhead, Paul Insect, B+, Marc Singer and Kar Wai Wong to his new visual rich live stage show. We really feel privileged as while Shadow’s profile has never been higher, he has increasingly shied away from music press and traditional forms of social networking. 2010 has seen Shadow hard at work on his next album, which he has called “a return to form”, and has been setting the live circuit alight up with expansive Summer tour of the world.
-
Also in the second room will be interviews with George Lois, Lance Wyman, group debates on the future of publishing, whether music needs design anymore and lots, lots more.
-
Tickets are available now at an early bird rate until September 1st, there's also a group discount and student prices too. We really hope to see you down there for what's going to be an inspiring weekend in Grand Canal Theatre.
