digital recorder alternative to minidisc? (1 Viewer)

I've used minidisc recorders for years and have a decent mic, and love the quality i get recording gigs/rehearsals/interviews. They have always been a pain to use with macs however and are probably near obsolete at this point. Anyone recommend a digital alternative that is similarly compact?
