Lisa O’Neill concludes a busy year with two Christmas concerts in two specifically chosen listening venues.

With her second album Same Cloth or Not, Lisa won over fans and critics alike. Her rich aged folk voice, melancholic melodies and brilliant lyrical wit marked her a genuinely unique Irish artist. Her live shows became much talked about affairs with the audience welling up one moment, and in stitches the next.
The album was recorded in a beautiful cottage rented in Wicklow in the winter months with David Kitt producing and Karl Oldum engineering and includes her regular band-mates Stina Sandstrom (vocals), Mossy Nolan (bouzouki). Since the recording Aoife O’Sullivan (violin/viola) and Kevin Kelleher (trumpet) has joined the live band.

“…instantly silences the room with her remarkable voice. her song craft and performance capabilities really are extraordinary.” Eamon Sweeney, Irish Independent

“O'Neill is real. Her songs poetry. Her gift, of the ages. It's possible she's the most important artist out of Ireland for decades.” – Eamon Carr, The Herald ****

“One of the most outstanding Irish albums of the year.”- Lauren Murphy, The Irish Times ****

“A beautifully distilled album brimming with the Cavan lady's personality and colloquialisms.” – Nialler 9 Album of the Week

In the last year and a half she toured Ireland and mainland Europe with Glen Hansard, supported David Gray on his Irish tour and UK dates and James Yorkston on his UK tour. Lisa received a nomination for the Choice Music Prize Album of the Year and performed on the night in Vicar Street. She’s toured Ireland and Australia already this year. TIME OUT SYDNEY wrote of her: “But as good as Hansard was the night was stolen by special guest Lisa O'Neill. A folk artist with a voice that's haunting and broken and big and lilting all at once, O'Neill makes pain sound pretty damn amazing. And then she goes and sings a song about feeding her Elvis puppet Irish stew. Seek her out. “
