Been listening to this all day too. A really interesting record. Angry sounding, but not overly aggressive. An odd mix of samples, live rocky bits, and electronic stuff. Certainly one of the most interesting rap albums in a while!

With two new albums due for release this year Californian experimental trio Death Grips have announced a Dublin date at The Academy 2 on Friday 18 May.

The group consisting of vocalist Stefan Burnett and producers Zach Hill and Andy Morin who also double up on drums and keys respectively during their live shows. Recently signed to Epic records Death Gripsfirst came to prominence following the release of their debut album Exmilitary last year. Released through the bands official website thirdworlds.net the mixtapes most recognized song Guillotine has amassed over half a million views on You Tube.

Death Grips are set to release two albums this year with the first The Money Store due later this Spring.
