Converting from tape (1 Viewer)

Someone has come to asking to convert an old tape from a Dictaphone.

The tape is cassette is damaged and wont turn. It turns for a about a minute then stops.

Is there anywhere what can convert these. Just want to send her there so she will stop asking me

Interesting. I'm in the process of setting up "the ultimate cassette digitizing set up" for my own use. I think once I nail the process I'm going to offer it as a service.
A service that would have no problem saying to someone like that, "your tape is too fucked to do anything with, sorry".

Cant you just open the cassette take the tape out and put the tape into another cassette ? Or open the cassette and have a look at it, does the cassette have screws ?

Have definitely done that in the past,but some cassette shells are glued together,others have tiny screws. It's super fidgety though. Doubt I'd be too arsed these days.

It is a dictaphone tape. I have a dictaphone and have used it to convert recordings before.
But because the tape is not turning I can't. I don't want to open it up in case I damage it. She is my boss so just want to send her somewhere so he can leave me alone.
