thats fair enough,i always found brown sugar makes coffee a lot better...avoid maxwell house anyway when it comes to instant,its probably the worst 'coffee' in the world.

use a filter cone, it's just as quick

I have two of those, one for home and one for work but it tends to be too slow. The coffee is cold by the time it filters down. I broke down and bought a french press.

agreed,i've nothing against instant but maxwell house is just wrong from the packaging right down to the taste.buy her some douwe egberts instant.

I switched to decaf last year.

Most Saturday's I would wake up with a headache. It would last well into the evening, no matter how many panadol I'd take. I put it down to this. I was up five days a week having a cup of coffee at say, 8am but having a lie in on Saturday's. Obviously the brain was expecting its caffeine fix and was pissed off when it didn't arrive. So with the last headache (a bad one) I got rid of the regular coffee and switched to decaf.

No more headaches

im really looking forward to my next coffee. im gone mad for the lattes these days and i used to be so opposed to milky coffee. does anyone else scoop out and eat all the froth from the cup after drinking the coffee?

Nah, I sprinkle brown sugar on the foam and eat it before drinking a latte.
