This is my favourite. Some of the best telly I have ever seen has been the humble interview. There have been many, but perhaps the most powerful for me would have to be Denis Potters(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Potter )final interview. Potter was suffering with terminal cancer during his final interview with Melvin Bragg back in the early 90's. He was in such discomfort and pain that he was actually administering himself shots of liquid morphine just to get through it!, but what an interview. Potter delivered a brutally honest, poignant beautiful and excoriating viewpoint on the state of Britain and life in general at the time. It is still a relevant and remarkable piece of television.
