i'm going to be working there soon.

whats the commute like?

not sure if i can hack the bus everyday so i might drive. i would be leaving from Dublin 8 area every morning.is traffic woeful?

I used work there. It was a bit crap for public transport from town. There's a private bus that leaves from 8 , and back at 5, but it's kinda crap if it doesn't suit your workday. Any Dublin Bus buses tend to go the long way round - the one that I got (whenever I got a bus) took over an hour. However, the drive from Dublin 8 shouldn't take more than a half hour out. It's going against the traffic. I used generally make it in 20 mins if I left around 8. It'll take longer to return in the evening (about 35-40 mins generally), although the Red Cow has been upgraded since I left, so that might make a difference.

working there at the moment. the 65b is a massive pain in the hole. always late ! if you can start early enough then the traffic aint bad

I think you can get a luas as far as Tallaght and then there's buses that run from there to Citywest.
