Aer Lingus had to in some way compensate those people who booked €10 flights to the US.

It wouldn't be great if they gave you a product to the value of €69 as compensation. But I'm seriously tempted.

I'd imagine that the €69 is from a legal perspective just like a price tag or a sign in a shop, as in it's just an invitation to treat. They're not offering to sell you the item for that price but rather they're informing you that were you to offer to buy that item for the price then they would most likely accept it.
