The same stuff hangs around the shop for over half a year. Once we got a bunch of Chris DeBurghs in and I persuaded the manager to bring them to the Navan shop!

Is that Oxfam? They only seem to have CD singles from ex-neighbours actors in there. Maybe the odd Extreme single.

One of the strangest pop bands of all time - I strongly recommend reading Simon Reynolds post punk history Rip it Up and Start again for more.

Their later stuff was awful sugary and inane (and Green's voice drives me mental) despite their attempts to pass it off as a deconstructionist "assault" on the music system (for instance putting "the sweetest" girl in quotation marks was a Deridian gesture (if such a thing can exist!!) - any way well worth a read

Most of the actual music was cat - though their early sound was kind of nice.

7"s
K C & The Sunshine Band 'That's The Way I like It'
A House 'Call Me Blue'
Earth Wind And Fire 'Lets Groove'
ACDC 'Money Talks'
Roland Rat 'Rat Rappin'

'Lots of talk and lots of action
Roland Rats the main attraction
With a penthouse suite, swimming pool
Pretty young guinea-pigs playing it cool'
(Rat Rappin)

Bought for a snot each

Bible Belt 'Zeke' 12"
Limbomaniacs 'Stinky Grooves' lp
Lungfish 'Pass and Stow' lp

The following recommended or not?

Scritti Pollitti ' Take Me In Your Arms and Love Me' 12"
Sprinker lp on Sub Pop
Front Line Assembly 'Caustic Grip'

A band called 'Murphys Law' ?

Cheers

So the Limbomaniacs is crap eh?
Saw that Laswell produced and thought it was worth the risk.

Can't remember the names of the Murphy's Law Lps but there were two of them. Is the band any use? Wanna recommend any of their lps?

yeah oxfam, fuck that. They had a mose allison lp for 50 euro. They'll put all indie book shops and second hand record shops out of buisness. there profit is like 2000 percent.
