I have an apartment in Inchicore but didn't get a carpark space at the time cause I was wiped clean. Now I need one for me car. There are no spaces available cause the builders did not provide enough per apartment. Anybody know what the going rate for a space (to purchase or rent) is in an apartment block?

varies depending on location, location, location

i've seen them go for up to 40 grand, or a couple of hundred quid a month rental....

if you stick a notice up in the entrance hall saying you're looking for one in the block you might be surprised.

nah they're not 200 a month - you're mostly looking at 75-100 a month for the city centra. Cos we're looking for one too...

I think the opposite problem exists in my brother's block down grand canal dock way. I've never ever seen it more than 2/3rds full, which is sweet coz I know the usually empty spaces now and can park at my leisure if I'm not staying tooo long.

The night he was moving in we nearly got a knife in the back of our heads as our friend parked his van thing in a resident's space while we all unloaded. He got a nasty letter in his windscreen wiper. Imagine paying thOUsands for a space and then some gimps rambling in and filling it up. Wouldn't ye be ragin! Ah well, I'll keep pushin the button.

I usually take beautiful Dublin Bus but my lovely sister just gave me her old car. Will probably just use it to go to B&Q and the mountains...

Cycling in Dublin freaks me out!
