he's placing it nearly every time - seems like he's showing them one thing and then giving them another. amazing player.

It wasnt just penos he put the ball in the wrong direction, he did it all the time.
I used to watch just that when he was playing with United. He used weird parts of his foot sometimes to kick and pass, you'd like to imagine him doing some mindfuck on everyone around him, but he also had ridiculous control of the ball on the volley...I dunno. Might have something to do with it.

I remember watching replays and still getting it wrong.
Watch him in the yoke below. Theres a fair number of balls that just come off his foot in completely the wrong direction.
