can't connect to wifi with phone (1 Viewer)

This is something that seems to happen a bit. I'm on the bus and there's free wifi but I can't connect. It says "obtaining IP address from bus wifi" but never gets there and keeps trying unsuccessfully. Is it likely to be that there's just too many people using it?

Not saying that I'll have your answer, but what bus, what's your device, and who's the service provider?

I was on the Aircoach to cork at the time, it started working right after. I have a HTC Wildfire S (for Shite) on o2. It's something I have noticed happening from time to time, no pattern that I've noticed.

they might have limited the DHCP address pool to stop the connection being overloaded with too many concurrent users?
