BT Vision - £16.99 to download new release movies (1 Viewer)

In the UK, BT are unveiling (slowly...) their new on-demand media downloads service. People will be able to download old films for £7.99 and new releases from £16.99 to watch on their 'puter or burn to DVD for later consumption.

Unless BT get the films before they're released on DVD I can't see much point in that service - at that price you might as well just buy the DVD.

, I think they're plaing on the whole 'legal' option but presumably they'll get the films between the cinema release and the DVD release, you'd want to be pretty desperate.

Ah, but in terms of actual choice of tv and movies and price. I'd rather pay my subscription to sky and watch the movies than pay bt £17.99 for something I could buy cheaper on play.com
