Billy Ocean given honorary degree

Billy Ocean has paid a visit to the University of Westminster to collect an honorary degree.

He was awarded a Honorary Doctor Of Music degree in recognition of his services to the music industry.

The awards ceremony took place at the Barbican Centre in London.

Ocean has released eight albums in the UK and America, spanning three decades.

He is best known for his 1986 UK number one hit, When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going.

yeah, i'm in at 11.30 this week. its killing me already. i thought i'd go completely spare at about 5.30 when sarah went home.

i had no idea these late evenings irked me so much.

yes, at home.
conor used to do late shifts in ibm, he hated them too, but then i used to do 8pm to 8am shifts in the hospital a few years ago.
there's a time around 3 or 4 am when i used to stop feeling like a human being and the clock would go backwards - truly horrible.

i find its ok if theres a steady flow of work from around 6.30 onwards, as long as they're not swiss calls for bolivia which i had 2 of at about 6.15 and i nearly cried. also there are problems with india (fact fans) at the moment which no one knows about.

sheer frustration.

only 40 mins left though.

Originally called "European Queen" when released in early 1984 but flopped.
Recut as "Caribbean Queen" [just a word change] and suddenly it's a huge hit.
The 7" has both songs but no picture sleeve.

The Twin Peaks DVD set didn't arrive in any Dublin shops last week.
Went to Belfast on Friday and got it there. Only watched the pilot so far.
