I was in a pharmacy in Spain last month that was almost fully automated. It had a glass ceiling and upstairs there were little automatic/robotic pickers flying around on rails, grabbing the medicines off shelves, and dropping it down a chute to whatever till you were standing at talking to the pharmacist. Mad stuff altogether.

Also it appears spanish pharmacists can prescribe prescription-only drugs. And the drugs were dirt cheap too.
