i've been listening to this again recently, it's fantastic. it's such a pity they broke up: the first album was amazing, and this was such a leap beyond that again. i would've loved to have seen what they would've done for a third album. what are they all up to now? links please...

They've a few projects on the go I'll have a search and get back to ya.

I prefer the first album, I actually listened to it twice today. Although I'm getting into noisier stuff these days so it might reach me now.

Hugh's in Hand Fed Babies and Sentai, both aint bad. Not a patch on Black Eyes though. Such a pity they split so early on, Cough was going in a class direction.

It was good bit before they broke up, unless they played twice.

Phenomenal gig with the Killing Spree and a huge two drummer line up Estel opening. Defo up there with the best gigs I've been too.

Great album, really wish Id caught them live, they played whelans shortly before they broke up didn't they?

yeah, that was a deadly gig. the setup with the two drumkits in the middle facing each other was fantastic, it was like a staring contest taking place in the middle of the maelstrom.

Brilliant album.
Took me aaaaages to get in to it though.
Still definitely not as good as the first album...that's phenomenal.

One of them (Hugh?) was at the recent Ted Leo/Crayonsmith gig in Belfast.
I think he was hangin out with the Killing Spree lads.

Sound at the Whelans gig was poxy.

Great band, great records. Prefer the first one.

They were ultra loose in Whelans, way thrashier.
They recorded Cough about a month after they were over here and then broke up not too long after that. Shame definetely.

Yeah I remember My Remorse were playing Dublin and Black Eyes had played the night before... everyone was saying it was amazing.

Frazer's? I remember not being able to make it to that gig for some reason.

I'm actually starting to think there's some force out there determined that I'll never see any of your bands play.

It was in the Music Room...? Is that what it was called? Deadly venue anyway.
We played Frazers two or three times as well.

Yeah that's what it was called. Deadly spot alright, five minute cycle from my gaff at the time too.
