This is a unique musical collaboration between two very distinct Irish artists. The songs are is some ways straight forward pop yet infused with strong, feature-film like atmospheres wrapped around highly narrative lyrics. This is the first release from the full LP which is due out later this year and features some innovative re-workings and original tracks from some of the foremost exponents of modern music.

Biogs

Fergus O'Farrell (vocals, piano & guitar) and James O'Leary (guitars) formed
Interference in 1983. The band are legendary having influenced many modern Irish songsmiths and bands such as Damien Rice, Mundy and the Frames. Their 1st LP released in 1995 is a beguiling collection of songs, with inlay notes that read like a list of a who’s who in Irish Music. Collaborators on the album included Donal Lunny, Katell Keinig, Maria McKee, Glen Hansard, and Liam O’Maonlai. Rather like Kate Bush the last 12 years have been spent writing a huge body of work from which a number of projected are now being harvested: an acoustic/orchestral cd with Interfearance as a band, an electronic outfit with Paul Griffin and Andrew Philpott from Depeche Mode, new works with Colin Vearncombe (aka "Black") and this highly interesting colaboration with Hyper[borea] main man David Bickley.

David Bickley (keyboards, woodwind, programming and electronics) David grew up in Manchester. He had a musical background and from an early age he perused an interest in both music and film (In the late 80's David got involved with The Landscape Channel, this led to a series of commissions from Hendring/Castle Communications and saw him working with Brian Eno's Opal Company). Bickley moved to Ireland in 1993 and formed the group Hyper [borea] (With collaboration from part-time Orb member, Tom Green). Hyper [borea] pioneered the fusion of Celtic music with dance idioms long before everyone else jumped on the wagon. The popularity of the project was so great that the group won the prestigious award Hot Press Award - Best Band in 1998. David has also produced 2 albums with Krautrock Legend Roedelius and is currently working on a third and has produced numerous soundtracks for film and television.
