Best software for vocal recordings?? (1 Viewer)

Its a funny question - the mic ,pre amp ,soundcard and even room you use to record the vocals are really what dictates the sound?

Recording Software is a matter of preference and you'll just have to try some out.Lately I like using abelton live becuse you can set up nice one touch loop recording which is handy for doing lots of takes fast.Cubase and the already mentioned pro tools are also good.

If you meant whats the best software for processing vocals I would say Melodyne plus any one of a million plug-ins you may like to use.I also liked using adobe audition and soundforge for vocals.

What are you trying to do and what equiptment do you have.
