Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

Four little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped her head.
Papa called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

Three little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped her head.
Papa called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

One little monkey jumping on the bed,
He fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"Put those monkeys straight to bed!"

This guy, Raffi, is cool. My junior infants used to love singing the Baby Beluga song....

our lad can sing this unaided and can point out most of them on the map.

Edutainment!

Five little monkeys...

I'm with you on this one, never gets old.

Having said this my 4 year old can sing bits of Iron Man including a bit of MC-ing over Geezers bit - "Oh no, here comes the Iron Man, everybody run away". She also likes "the one about the man that has fairies that dance at the end of his garden".

I'm playing her too much Sabbath aren't I?

Watch this. Just fucking watch this.

what about two little boys? or do only adults like it? i like that version rolf harris did with liam o'mwainlee

That song used to make me cry* - we had an album called Kiddies Favourites or something like that. It also had Ernie (The fastest milkman in the west) on it. They are the songs I remember most off it.

*it still does

Best tape ever .|..|

Down by the bay,
where the watermelons grow,
back to my home,
is where i'll go,
but if i stay my mam will say
"did you ever see a bear combing his hair, down by the bay???"

or something to that effect.

This one is insanely catchy

When I was about three I took to snails and slugs, with gusto
and insisted on keeping one in my room that lived on a lettuce leaf.

my dad wrote me this song:

My pet slug

Chorus
My pet slug, my pet slug,
his name was fred,
I used to talk to him,
til mammy walked on him
and now he's dead.
poor fred.

I know that he was squidgy small and fat,
and he didn't feel as nice as my pet cat,
and he tasted kinda funny
like my nose does when it's runny,
but I wish he hadn't ended up like that.

My pet slug, my pet slug,
his name was fred,
I used to talk to him,
til mammy walked on him
and now he's dead.
poor fred.

I found him on my windowsill one day
and I went to ask my mammy could he stay,
but mammy gave a shout,
and she squashed his insides out.
and he didn't even try to run away.

My pet slug, my pet slug,
his name was fred,
I used to talk to him,
til mammy walked on him
and now he's dead.
poor fred.

if your kids take to slugs it might come in useful.:p

Two Little Boys makes me cry too - I played it at the 'saddest songs in the world' Hoot Night.
