Viking Moses supporting Micah P Hinson in Whelan's recently was well impressive. Will Oldham-the living f-cking legend that he is-tore the roof off the same venue back in May, I think. Good to have HRH Stuart Staples from Tinderstick back for a relatively low-key show in The Sugar Club.
As for local acts, E+S=B performed a great set when I thought I was going to see Magick Markers & was happy enough with Kaplin & Stagger Lee in The Hub back in August.
