...inspired by a similar thread about the beginning of songs, the logical progression being... the er... end

Brasskneck: The Wedding Present
Purple Rain: Prince and the Revolution (Album vertion ONLY)
911 is a joke: Public Enemy
Temptation: New Order

"A day in the Life" - The Beatles

"Layla" - arguably better than the rest of the song.

"Mountain People" - Super Furry Animals

"I am the Ressurection" - The Stone Roses

"Elvis" - Lonpigs

"Eskimo" - Damien Rice

another one of that nature would be Rollerskate Skinny, "so far down up to heaven", brilliant ending

Layla! I concur, the ending is waaay better than the rest of the song, although radio never plays the ending.

Dinosaur Jrs version of The Cure's Just Like Heaven has a great ending. It just stops all of a sudden mid-scream. Loadsa Pavement songs end brilliantly, particularly one or two off Wowee Zowee

but happy, the guys are talking about 'layla'. i mean, 'layla', dude.

i love the way hotel california ends. that's the best bit about the song.

i once knew a girl called layla. no kidding. them were the days.

the best ending ever is that Dinosaur Jr one from You're living all over me that just as it's over goes dur dur jjjjjjjjjjj dur duuur jjjjjjjjjjjdur dur jjjjjjjjjjj dur duuur (screaming solo)....
