I'd love a Travis Bean but they're crazy expensive & rare and all that. These look like a pretty good alternative. Any thoughts?

What about getting an old Kramer, they're about 1/4 the cash and sound pretty great. Also vaccaro (talk to g-stereotypical).

Oxes used to use both Kramers and Tactical Works

yeah just be aware that they are very different feeling than any other guitars..

my vaccaro is lovely because its the best of both worlds..alluminium neck but wrapped in wood.

although theyve long since gone out of business and rarely appear on ebay.

She's a beaut G-Stereo. Does it sound sweet? Like, does the sustain reach up your hole & scream at you from the inside?

yeah it sounds lovely, like a jazzmaster meets a travis bean.
theres not as much sustain as youd think on my one. when i played mattie B's travis i noticed a fair difference in sustain.

but its a happy compromise since i have a wood neck, its brings more warmth than the fully alluminium.
