Audio processing advice needed (1 Viewer)

I've some mono audio tracks taken from old video & audio tapes that i need to get spruced up a bit.

Any suggestions? Any magic software that can make them sound better?

Audacity is probably your best/free bet. Its got a noise removal effect.

I dunno bout that..I might be tempted to throw on a bit of tamborine though if a tune is lagging in the last verse though

Izotope RX is probably the best restoration software on the market at the moment.

You can download a fully working trial, think it's 15 days or something.

Then you could take them into Reaper and fiddle with EQ and what not.

There's no auto quick fix though....not yet.

If you're stuck fire them over to me and I could have a look too.
