I wonder if long term nightmare attendees are annoyed with how these have gone in the last few years. I never used to be interested in December ATPs because I wasn't that into the idea of travelling all that way for a load of noise bands and other evil sounding shit but last year and this year they're pretty similar to the May ones.

The ATPS are very generic aside from the odd Konono or Toumani addition.

Mix of BLOC/ MELT, WOMAD and ATP would be spot-on.

I have to agree John. I also went to see the Silver Mount Zion thing in the Music Centre a few years ago and it was one of the most boring gigs I've ever been to. I know everyone else will call me nuts for saying that but every song was the same. Some crusty wrecking a load of nice songs by shouting irritating crap over it.
