I get shin splints and hitting a bass drum pedal toe-down for a while can be pretty painful. I'm wondering if the heel and not the toe is a more natural striker ?

Thats the drum equivelant of having stabilisers on your bike, yeah it might be easier to play but you'd look stupid! and I can't see it being to easy to do doulbe flicks when your striking with your heel either. Over all its a thumbs down from me Jeremy.
