anyone been done by council for bin charges? (1 Viewer)

am i missing something re: not paying for your bin collection? we put out a bin every 2-3 weeks, costs 7 euro each time it's collected

same here, either we do that or we sign a direct debit to have it collected weekly.

actually, is there any grounds for telling them its there fucking fault for collecting the bins for 3 years with no pay. very unreasonable to be pulling shit like that out of the bag in a recession.

'intrum justitia'.

wiki says:

The firm has recently been the subject of negative publicity. Its debt recovery/enforcement agents have been involved in a number of alleged illegal entries into private premises, including but not limited to both consumer and small - medium sized businesses, in order to remove property to resolve unpaid debts. It has been reported that excessive force was used and also these "agents" inpersonated official county sherrif officers (known as baillifs) which is a serious criminal offence. These activities are claimed to have occurred both in the UK and The Republic of Ireland.

this reminds me of a april fools my friends played on another friend. he oweda couple of hundred to chorus and just ignored it for ages. a friend rang him and said a debt collection agency had been ringing for a few days looking for him. then they rang him in work one day and said the debt collectors had warrants and been to the house and taken all his stuff. they moved all his stuff from his room, even the lightbulb into the spare room, so he left work and ran home to his room to find everything gone, he was nearly in tears.

You have three options

3 Move

End of .
