What I meant, is that if America is taken to be national ego in its purest form, there is absolutely no basis there for racially motivated political organisation, especially by white people, since the American population is such a mishmash of ethnicities, whose genetic unity goes back about 5 minutes in the overall context of ethnic human history. It is thus an essentially rediculous proposition. Now, if the hyposthesis was of America to be national ego in it's purest form based upon capitalist democracy, rather than race, there might be a point. But that wasn't what was raised.
