Just noticed that Alex Chilton is playing Whelans on the 25th April - has anyone here seen him live before?

I'd say he'd can be a contrary fecker live - love to go though. Worth 22 sponds?

Saw him as part of Big Star when they played here. Fantastic. Not the contrary sort he's reputed to be.

Dunno what he would be like solo ........ probabl depends on the band. If there is a band ...

saw him in the red box as big star with Jody and the Posies, deadly show. He's actually a bit square looking, I think rumours of his surely slack cranky ways are a little over done
