This from The Gaurdian entertainment supplement where 4Play was listed as one of the picks of the week:
"Punk rock from Belfast and northern soul from Cork, bound together by two Dublin DJs: should be interesting as The Shakes, The Beat poets and DJs Gik and Mo Kelly offer 5 hours of 4Play."
This looks like it is going to be a good night in the future for bands to get involved in. Get down there and watch The Shakes slay everyone!
9.15 PM - FRIDAY - VOODOO LOUNGE
Coincidentally, The Shakes were out in The Bank night club in Newry on Saturday night. None other than Huey from the Fun Lovin Criminals was DJing, who also owns the Voodoo Lounge.
dshakes : Huey! Huey! We're playing your club next week!
Huey : Ah man, I'm not going to be in the country!
dshakes : Well it will be reduced to rubble by the time you get back!!
