Have to go to london for a 1 day meeting in june. Would rather avoid staying over.
Despite being relatively well travelled, I am nearly ignorant of how best to get around london.
so my question..

meeting starts 930ish..I can get a flight that will land in Heathrow at 8.

what's the likely hood of me making it on time?

a question for the human rather than digital pricks..

so I can fly via ryanair, getting into gatwick at 730
can go from gatwick to waterloo direct on the train
gaff I need to get to is on York Road, v. close to Waterloo.

It would seem that barring delays I should be relatively good to get there by 9-930?

(I'm clutching at straws here in terms of not having to overnight)

Add your de-planing time to your arrival time.

How far is the Gatwick train from your Gate?

Add the time on the train plus the frequency. 45 minutes every 15 minutes is an hour in your budget of time.

For me - just speaking personally here - it's not that I couldn't make the time work, it's that I would be making the whole thing a stressful situation and it's not how I want to arrive at anything.

You will get better advice than from me though

Definitely more doable than option 1.

Though Gatwick is my most frequently used airport so personally I can get out of there in 15 minutes. and Waterloo is quite large.

I'll see ya in The hole In The Wall after.Ef

Edit: iirc Ryanair have pretty good good gates at Gatwick. Robbed them off Aer Lingus or something. That is worth checking.

I'm starting to feel I'm going to end up like some 1830s stereotype of a lost paddy in London.
I'll probably end up being press ganged into the Navy or something

That should work. I used to do a weekly commute to london via Gatwick and could make a 9.30 meeting in Greenwich no problem
