Ya, no Django Reinhard or even Pat Metheny...
But you got to love the irony of ranking Lee and Thurston just ahead of their hero John Fahey.

Agata from Melt Banana is one of the most criminally under-rated guitarists in the world.

33 & 34 Lee Ranaldo, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth
59 & 60 Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien of Radiohead
92 & 93 Fred "Sonic" Smith, Wayne Kramer of the MC5

that kinda shit is so painfully lazy

Sometimes it's hard to figure out who's playing what part. Be fair on poor music journalists - you can't really expect them to be able to analyse music in any concrete sense, can you?

there's a black flag reunion show in LA this weekend...

"it's supposed to be gregg ginn + dez and a bunch of the early singers doin the first 4 years stuff, but i keep hearing rumors that it's actually going to be my war played in its entirety with a pre recorded bass track!"

it's good to see a chancer like kurt coain in there and no sign of those fret-wankers from pearl jam. isaac brock should be in there.and even a braindead poll like this should have nick drake.
