Does anyone actually care if the hi hats have more snap in them compared to previous issues.
My record player is shit so I probably wouldnt hear the difference anyway.

Not sure if they're being reissued on vinyl.

No need. The existing 60s pressings are the gold standard and cannot be improved upon.

It's their CD catalogue that is in need of (partial) attention.

The whole CD thing just seems to have been a continuous anticlimax since 'Brothers in arms' ... you know that you can actually hear the wind in Mark Knopfler's nose hair in the intro to the title track? Maybe it's just me but I just haven't been as excited since.. .

As others have said: that's your problem, not mine.

I have about 10 copies (at least...) of some of their records and I'll get these as well.

Different versions produce different listening experiences.

I love AR, but until I heard the Japanese Toshiba copies I hadn't actually HEARD it.

This is all very exciting, but there's some existing work they'll have to top before I call these things my new "standard".
