I've never had the desk open to see the boards inside. The desk is still usable as it is for what I'm doing. I'll try the ground loop isolation device. Failing that it might be time to reinvest in a new desk.

I have a Behringer MX8000 mixer, there is an annoying hum from the left channel. Does anyone know someone who could look at it for me, ideas of rough cost? The desk is big but isn't highest quality so may not be worth the cost.

Promoters and bands don't seem to realise the prep work that goes into setting up for a gig. You spend hours setup the PA, desk, mics, cable etc, the band is late for the sound check - if they show at all! - and then they expect perfection, once they've done there hour or two of work they fuck...
